

Tabitha L. Hancock, 44, of Mansfield, died March 8, 2015. Born January 5, 1971 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Lawrence E. Jr. and Helen Jo (Howard) Hancock. Tabitha graduated from Madison Comprehensive High School in 1989 and went on to graduate from Akron University with her Bachelor's degree, where she was a member of Alpha Phi Sorority. She then went on to graduate from Ashland University with her Master's degree in Intervention Specialist. Tabitha was a teacher at Mid Ohio Educational Services who truly enjoyed being with her students. She loved to feel the sand between her toes and trips to the beach and swimming were her favorite. In her free time, Tabitha enjoyed researching her family history and most of all, playing with her four legged best friend, her dog Charley.
Surviving are her parents, Lawrence and Helen Jo Hancock; brother, Edward Scott Hancock; sister-in-law, Deborah Hancock; nephew, Noah Hancock; many aunts and uncles; many cousins; best friend, her dog, Charley; and many special friends who loved her dearly.
Tabitha was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ruth and Frank Howard and paternal grandparents, Rhoda and Lawrence Hancock, Sr.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, March 12, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Road, Ontario. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Rev. Paul Lintern. An additional hour of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 1-2p.m. Burial will follow in Windsor Park.
