
Thelma Ilene Miller Hatfield, 80, of Mansfield, died Sunday March 2, 2003 at home following an extended illness. Mrs. Hatfield was born August 28, 1922 in Mansfield, the daughter of Andrew and Ida Mae Miller. Thelma has lived most of her life in Mansfield, she and her late husband, Luther Lee Hatfield resided in Florida for about six years, until Luther passed away, then she moved to Mansfield, living with her daughter, Eileen. Mrs. Hatfield was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; she enjoyed spending time with her family and reading.
Surviving are her daughter, Eileen Hawkins; one grandson, James Hawkins; one granddaughter, Kashawn Hawkins all of Mansfield; two great-grandchildren, Marky Hawkins and Alexis Hawkins both of Mansfield; one step daughter, Nancy and Bob Cameric of Durham, North Carolina; four step grandchildren, Ashley Hays of Walnut, Mississippi; Virginia Rueth of Mesa, Arizona; Deana Wertz o Burbank, California; William Bahl of the United States Military; and one sister, Dorothy Fry of Bellville; sister-in-law, Janet Miller of Mansfield. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one stepdaughter, Edna Lee Bahl; one brother, Lawrence Miller and one sister, Pearl Miller.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Wednesday, March 5, 2003 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Robert O'Brian of Apostolic Faith Assembly. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
