Thomas E. Finley

Thomas E. "Tom" Finley, 61, of Shelby, passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Mansfield Memorial Homes. He was born on January 26, 1957 in Crestline, Ohio, and was the son of Gerald and Eleanor (Wharton) Finley.

Determined, stubborn, hardworking, caring and generous are just a few words that describe Tom. Tom loved to be on the move, always busy and off to his next adventure. He lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed buying and selling cars, auctions, car shows, trips to Cedar Point, fishing, and watching demolition derby. One of his favorite activities was Tuesday breakfasts with his daughter.

Surviving Tom are his sons, Jeramy (Hannah) Finley of Mansfield and Sam (Andrea) Ute of Sandusky; daughter, Tina (Brian) Glasgo of Mansfield; eleven grandchildren, Cameron, Zach, Ethan, Isaiah, Tori, Natalie, Aydin, Josh, Landon, Emma, and Andrew; brothers, Dan (Diane) Finley and Mike (Vicki) Finley both of Mansfield; lifelong friend, Robin Smith of Mansfield; a special nephew, Ryan Finley of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Jack Finley.

Family and friends may visit from 1:00-2:00 pm, on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Road. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Robert O'Brian officiating. Burial will follow at Mansfield Memorial Park.
