Victoria Mangulovich Petrofski, 86, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, December 12, 2018. Victoria was born on August 8, 1932 in Selo Capari, Yugoslavia to Jovan and Sveta (Gashteva) Mangulovich.
Victoria immigrated with her mother in 1952 to America to join her father and brother in Ohio. Through her family, she met her husband, Metodija, who had migrated from Bitola, Yugoslavia to Athens, Greece. She went to Greece and married her husband in September 1958 and they came to America to begin their lives together. They shared 25 years together until his passing. They had a daughter, Donna who made their lives complete. Victoria worked at the North American Knitting Mill, and retired from Therm-O-Disc. She was a devoted member of Saint Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church where she faithfully worshipped and served God. Family was incredibly important to Victoria. She was a loving mother and devoted grandmother, "Baba" to Jenah and Aaron. She was an active part of her grandchildren's lives and was there to experience every special moment as they lived together in the same home. These were very cherished memories for her. Brave, compassionate, and most importantly her daughter Donna's hero, warrior and guiding light in her life. Victoria had a beautiful soul. She found great joy doing the things she loved, cooking, baking cookies and bread, crocheting, knitting, sewing, gardening and canning. When you visited Victoria's home you always felt much love and enjoyed a fabulous meal. Victoria was always ready for a road trip and had a love for traveling, especially visiting California and Hawaii. She leaves behind many fond memories and will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Donna Petrofski Calderhead; grandchildren, Jenah Vita and Scott Aaron Calderhead; former son-in-law, Scott Alan Calderhead; nieces and nephews, John Hristovski, George Hristovski, Cveta Hristovski Workman, Angelina Hristovski Spargo, Linda Mitroff, James Mitroff, and Diana Mitroff; and numerous great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jovan and Sveta Mangulovich; husband, Metodija G. Petrofski; and siblings, Walter Mitroff, Luba Mangulovich Hristovski; an infant sister, Donna; and a nephew, Nickola Hristovski.
