
Vincent B. Atwater, 59, of Mansfield, died Thursday morning, October 12, 2006, at his home after an extended illness. Born November 28, 1946, in Mansfield, he was the son of James and Madeline Suber Atwater. He was a graduate of Madison Senior High School and retired from UPS. He previously worked at PPG and Hartman Electric. He was a devoted husband of 35 years, and a loving father and grandfather. He was an Elder with the North Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and he will be remembered for his love for his Creator, Jehovah God and his love for his neighbors. He enjoyed fishing, but most of all, he enjoyed sharing what he learned from the Bible with others.
He is survived by his wife, Kathelyn Helm Atwater; three children, Angela Pearson, Suzanne Atwater and Nathan Atwater, all of Mansfield; granddaughter, Essence Atwater of Mansfield; mother, Madeline Atwater of Mansfield; two brothers, Reed Theresa Atwater of Mansfield and Danny Atwater of Cleveland; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, James Atwater.
Memorial services will be observed Saturday, October 21, 2006, at 4:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1745 Walker Lake Rd., with Ronald Hyde officiating. Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family with arrangements.
