
Viola M. Wiley Davis, 76, of Greenwich, died Wednesday morning November 10, 2004 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after an extended illness. Born December 13, 1927 in San Francisco, California, she was the daughter of Victor and Bertha Mitchell Sly. She retired from Universal Refrigeration on November 19, 1993 and was of the Lutheran Faith.
Survivors include one son, George W. Wiley, Jr. of Mansfield; one daughter, Lorraine Fairchild of Mansfield; grandchildren and spouses, Rusty Hammond, Kristine and Scott Smith, Kimberly Hiler, Kristopher and Michelle Wiley, Tony and Leslie David, Brian and Lisa David, Juanita and Billy Riggins, and Jason Foster; 13 great grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Geri and William Sandusky of Denver, Colorado; one aunt, Edith Talbert of McCormick, South Carolina; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, George Wiley, Sr.; second husband, John Davis; daughter, Amy L. Butler; and one sister, Beverly Talbert.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday November 11, 2004 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday November 12 at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Toney officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
