Wayne L. Kiner

Wayne was a graduate of Mansfield Senior High. He went into the Army right after graduating from high school. Wayne worked many jobs, but his main job was for Columbia Gas, from which he retired. He enjoyed reading, watching OSU football, and watching hockey. He also coached his children's soccer teams when they were little. Wayne was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 37 years, Emily (Kalis) Kiner; four children, Megan (James) Pisanek, Jessica Kiner, Dana Goad, and Desiree (Don) Gross; several grandchildren, including his little sweethearts, Lola and Lily; one brother, Edward Kiner; three sisters, Mary Lou Rachel, June Evans, and Lois Bailey; his mother-in-law, Margie Kalis; numerous nieces and nephews; and his special four legged friend, Zoey.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, D. David Kiner; his grandparents, Everett and Jessie Thomas; and his father-in-law, Russell Kalis.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2016 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street Mansfield, Ohio. A service will be held on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Rev. Christopher R. Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at the Mansfield Cemetery.
