

William "Bill" Dalton, 72, of Mansfield, passed away Monday evening, July 30, 2018, at OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was born April 21, 1946, in New Philadelphia, Ohio, to the late Fred and Margaret (Turson) Dalton.
Bill graduated from Mansfield Senior High School with the Class of 1964. He earned a Bachelor degree from Lee Strasburg Theatre Institute in Los Angeles, California, where he studied acting. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He had a strong desire to travel and wanted to see as many places as possible. Bill traveled all over the world. Quiet and soft spoken, he was a deep thinking man and could even be described as a "lone wolf". He enjoyed reading and music, and played the guitar as often as possible. Bill was deeply loved by his family and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by three siblings, Ron "Hoppy" Dalton, Darcel "Darcy" Galliher, Daniel "Rick" (Moe) Dalton; a half-sister, Robin Hughes; two nephews; one niece; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Mark Dalton; brother-in-law, Mike Galliher; and sister-in-law, Ann Dalton.
A graveside service conducted by Pastor Glenn Phillips will be held Monday, August 6, 2018, in Mansfield Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family
