

William F. Fox, 92, of 1841 Middle-Bellville Road, died Sunday afternoon, June 30, 2002, after a brief illness. Mr. Fox was born February 13, 1910, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, to the late William F. Fox and Mary A. Sedler. Mr. Fox moved to Sarasota, Florida upon retirement in 1975, returning to the Mansfield area 3 years ago. He was married 66 years to Louise Firth, who predeceased him in 1999. Mr. Fox retired as Executive Vice President of North Electric Company in Galion. He was formerly the General Manager of the Electronics Division of Avco Corporation in Cincinnati. He served as President of the Galion Country Club and Gulf Gate Country Club in Sarasota. He served on many service boards. Mr. Fox was an avid tennis player and was the Indiana State tennis champion in his earlier days. He also enjoyed travel, fishing, gardening, golf and bridge.
Surviving are his loving son and daughter-in-law, William F., Jr. and Amy Fox of Galion; a loving daughter and son-in-law, Diane F. and Edwin 'Ted' Price of Cincinnati; loving grandchildren, Lisa Fox, Justin Leedy, Michael, Thomas, William and David Price; loving great-grandchildren, Ryan, Natalie and Nicholas Powell; and Thomas, Michael, William, Alyssa, Rachael, Stephanie, Andrew and Sara Price; a dear friend, Emma Kauffman of Sarasota, Florida; his 'family' at Alterra Sterling House; and his cockatiel 'Jacob.'
Private memorial services will be held later this week. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is assisting the family with arrangements.
