William Leiter

William D. "Pork" Leiter, 45, of Ashland, died Sunday, May 30, 2010, at his residence. Born February 5, 1965, in Ashland, he was the son of William Harry and Lila May Koch Leiter. He was employed as a welder for Stahl's. He was a very likable person who dearly loved his family and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Surviving are his wife, Laura E. Colbert Leiter; two sons, Douglas Nikki Leiter and William H. Leiter all of Ashland; two step children, Kristina Thompson and Kenny Thompson both of Ashland; four grandchildren, Lilly and Landon Leiter and James and Daisy Thompson; his mother, Lila May Leiter of Ashland; three brothers, Mark Mary Leiter, Keith Leiter and John Jan Leiter all of Ashland; one sister, Sharon Kolp of Galion; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, William Harry Leiter and a brother, William Harry Leiter, II.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2010, at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 308 Claremont Avenue, Ashland. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 4, 2010, at Ashland County Memorial Park conducted by Pastor Harry Strachan.
