
William L. Seib, 73, of Mansfield, Ohio died unexpectedly Friday morning, March 12, 2004 at MedCentral Mansfield. Mr. Seib was born July 6, 1930 in Frostburg, Maryland living in the area since the 1950's. He retired from General Motors after 39 ½ years and mowed grass at the Richland County Fairground where he also played Santa Claus during the Christmas season. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, traveling and playing Solitaire. He loved Country Western and Big Band music. William was easy going and had a great sense of humor. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and Marine Corps serving in Korea. The love of his life was spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Poland Seib; two daughters, Kimberly L. Johnson of Mansfield and Pamela M. Seib of Cincinnati; two grandsons, Brian K. Bargo and Aaron E. Johnson; two brothers and sisters-in-law, David & Carol Seib of Barton, Maryland and Daniel & Ruth Seib of Oakland, Maryland; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Edna & Roy Lewis of Medina, Ohio and Pat Edwards of Jacksonville, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard & Alma Easter Seib; and two brothers, Bernard and Francis Seib.
Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and an hour prior to funeral services to be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Brian Phillips. Military services will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
