
William C. Wilmoth, 73, of 180 Bell Street, Bellville, OH died Wednesday, December 13, 2000 at MedCentral Mansfield after an extended illness. He was born October 27, 1927 in Mansfield to C.E. & Dorothy McGinty Wilmoth. Mr. Wilmoth had previously worked for the Mansfield City Schools and was an electrical inspector for the City of Mansfield, he also worked for the Mansfield Reformatory and later retired from Clearfork School District. He had been a member of the Bellville Lions Club. Mr. Wilmoth was a loving husband, an avid handyman, who loved to build various items and worked well with his hands. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Eleanor Rakestraw Wilmoth; his brother and sister-in-law, Harry & Lois Wilmoth of Florida; several cousins; as well as several nieces and nephews, including Bill & Linda Partlow; two brothers-in-law, Jim and Bob Rakestraw; three sisters-in-law, Evelyn Partlow and Janet and Beverly Rakestraw; very special friends, Rev. Richard & Irma Yaussy and Phil & Roberta Klaus. He was preceded in death by his only son, Edward Charles Wilmoth who passed in 1973 and his parents.
There will be no calling. Services will be held on Monday, December 18, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. at Mansfield Cemetery, conducted by Rev. James Winkler of the Ontario United Methodist Church, on behalf of Rev. Richard Yaussy. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jefferson Township Rescue Squad.
