William Wolfe

William 'Bill' C. Wolfe, 71, of Shelby, died Sunday, July 10, 2011 at his residence. Born November 23, 1939 in Nelsonville, he was the son of Alan and Bertha Hook Wolfe. Bill began working at Gorman Rupp in 1970 and retired in 2000. He attended Christian Life Center. In his free time, Bill enjoyed fishing and at one time owned a pontoon boat down at Charles Mill Lake. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn, who he married in 1993; step sons, Steven Fox, Christopher Fox, Darren Fox, and Shannon Fox; special granddaughter, Celeste Heeb-ullah; sister, Frances Morgan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 25 years, Janice Gobel; half brother, Chuck Scoonover; brother, Alan Wolfe, Jr.; and sister, Mary Eldridge.

Friends may call Wednesday, July 13, 2011 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Ontario. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Gary Hunt and Pastor Sherry Berry. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
