
William E. Zehner II, 28, of 432 Wood St. died Friday May 4, 2001. Mr. Zehner was born August 3, 1972 in Mansfield being a life long resident. He was employed with the City of Mansfield as a Fire Fighter and an EMT and attended the First Christian Church of Shelby. Mr. Zehner was a member of Amvets Post #26, IAFF and Haz-Mat. He was an avid motorcycle rider and enjoyed riding his Yamaha V Max. He was a veteran of the 179th Air National Guard as a Fire Fighter.
Surviving are his wife, Jennifer Geiger Zehner of Mansfield; children, Chelsea and Kyle; three step brothers, Tim Jones of San Diego, California; Mike Jones of Crestline; and Eddie Allen of Lexington; two sisters, Brandy Zehner of Mansfield; Ashleigh Dowiatt of Mansfield; one brother, Ryan Zehner of Mansfield; father and step mother, William and Cheryl Zehner of Mansfield; mother and step father, Rebecca and David Jones of Mansfield; grandmother, Elinore Hart of Shelby; a number of aunts, uncles and cousins and special companions, Quincy and Ernie. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ralph L. Hart; and grandparents, William W. and Martha M. Zehner.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Monday May 7, 2001 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 8, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church, 200 W. Third St. Mansfield, Ohio conducted by the Rev. Faith Proietti. Military graveside services will be held in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Royal Scots Highlanders in care of Wappner Funeral Directors.
