Willie Holbrook

Willie R. Holbrook, 73, of Mansfield, died Monday, October 1, 2007 at Heartland of Centerburg. Born April 29, 1934 in Webbville, Kentucky, he was the son of Willie and Dora Adams Holbrook. He retired from Forrest Screw Machine after having worked at Essex Wire for 30 years. Willie had attended St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He enjoyed bowling, traveling, watching sports on TV and was a member of a deaf club. Willie was a hardworking man who enjoyed being with his family.

He is survived by three daughters, Janet Beeney Holbrook and Diane Holbrook, all of Columbus, Jamie Willie Holbrook-Tate of Mansfield; grandchildren, Marie, L.J., Clarence, Kareem, Anthony and Arielle; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Russell Karen Stephens of Cardington; a sister, Gladys Liles of Portsmouth; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his wife, Evelyn Holbrook; daughter, Debbie Holbrook; parents; and brother, Charles Crabtree.

Friends may call Sunday, October 7 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Pastor Ed Berdgstresser. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
