Zoe' Swain

Zoe' McKever Swain, 80, of 1846 Cunning Dr., died Wednesday, May 22, 2002 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital after a period of failing health. Mrs. Swain was born February 26, 1922, in New York and was the daughter of the late Harry s. McKever and Mary Topping McKever. She grew up in Rutherford, New Jersey before marrying and moving to Mansfield in 1944. Mrs. Swain was a homemaker and a member of the First Congregational Church of Mansfield. Of her many interests, she was an avid reader and member of Tuesday Book Club, a supporter of the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra and a member of PEO.

The widow of Charles A. Swain, Sr., she is survived by her four children and their spouses, Mary Beth and Daniel Wells of Portland, Oregon, John M. and Paula A. Swain of Mansfield, Charles A. and Julia Swain Jr. of St. Joseph, Michigan, and Robert T. Swain of Oakland, California; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday, May 31, 2002 at the First Congregational Church. Calling hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a memorial service following in the church chapel. Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra or the First Congregational Church of Mansfield.
