

He accepted Christ at an early age. As the eldest of seven siblings, he spent his early years helping to raise his younger siblings as his mother worked a full-time job as a schoolteacher.
After graduating from Booker T. Washington High School in Memphis, Tennessee, Richard moved to Gary, Indiana where he worked in the railyard assembling box cars. Richard furthered his adventures in life by joining the United States Air Force, becoming an Air Security Policeman.
Richard married Viola Perkins (North Little Rock, AR) and raised five sons to this union and commitment. Richard’s passions were enjoying gatherings with family and friends, fishing, and listening to music. In the early 1970’s in his spare time, Richard would DJ at the local VFW in Tucson spinning tunes for Veterans and military personnel where he was known as the “Black Hawk”.
Richard had a strong work ethic where he worked multiple jobs to help keep food on the table and a roof over his family. Richard’s strong driven work ethic was an inspiration to his sons who exhibited and emulated the same passion he did. Richard was also a magnet for great conversations about politics, advice, life, or any subject.
Richard is survived by his sons, Myron Haymore (Tucson, AZ), Terry Haymore (Tucson, AZ), Richard Rayton Haymore (Phoenix, AZ) and Courtney Haymore (Tucson, AZ). Richard is also survived by Delois Haymore-Nolan (sister), Jesse Haymore (brother), Rodney Haymore (brother), Dennis Haymore (brother), Aja Haymore (granddaughter), Addison Haymore (granddaughter), and Aeden Haymore (grandson).
Richard was preceeded in death by his parents Richard Lee Haymore I and Ethel Jones-Moore; the mother of his eldest 2 sons, Callie Haywood; son Andre Haymore, brother James Earl Haymore, and sister Maxine Haymore-Harper.
