

Andy was born on November 23, 1944 in Roxbury, New York, son of the late Floyd and Marguerite (Hait) Christian. Andy graduated from Delaware Academy High School in Delhi, New York and later SUNY Albany. For 30+ years, he was a high school math teacher, retiring in 1999 from Liberty Central School District.
Maureen was born on March 17, 1949 in Oneida, New York, daughter of the late Merton and Mary (Dunne) Garrison. Maureen graduated from Veron Verona Sherrill High School and later SUNY Oswego. For 30+ years, she was an elementary school teacher, retiring in 2005 from Liberty Central School District.
Andy and Maureen met while teaching for the Liberty Central School District. They were married on June 27, 1981 in Liberty, New York. For the next 30 years, they would go on to raise their two children, whom they were extremely proud of, finish out their teaching careers and enjoy their respective hobbies of horse racing and quilting while residing in Liberty. In 2011, Andy made his lifelong dream of building a retirement home in a warm location a reality. Andy and Maureen settled in Marble Falls, TX and continued to enjoy visits from their family and the simple life that they had built together since the day that they were married.
Andy and Maureen are survived by their children, Megan Higgins (Ronald) of Ruby, NY, Nicholas Christian (Lisa) of Danville, CA and their grandchildren, Jack Christian and Katelyn Higgins. Andy is survived by his brother, Raymond Christian (Patricia) and his sister, Charis Kitchen (Wayne) as well as his niece and nephews. In addition to his parents, Andy was predeceased by his siblings Edward Christian, Freda Preston and Elwood Christian. Maureen is survived by her brothers, Michael Garrison and Merton Garrison, and her sister, Mary Margaret Baker (Al), as well as her niece and nephews. In addition to her parents, Maureen was predeceased by her brother, Matthew Garrison.
They were longshots to go this soon but in the end they crossed the wire in a photo finish.
Arrangements entrusted to Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 Hwy. 281 N, Marble Falls, TX. A mass will be held on March 13, 2026 at 11:00 am at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Marble Falls, TX. The family asks that there not be any flowers and instead consider making a donation to The Helping Center, PO Box 402, Marble Falls, TX 78654.
