Brooks, her sister-in-law, Debbie Brooks and her brother-in-laws Wayne Brooks and Brett Brooks.
Bobbie was born on October 28, 1956, in Burnet, Texas to Barbara Wimberly and Andy Reed Penny, Sr. At a very young age she lost her father in a car wreck. Sometime after that her mother remarried to George Strickland. Most of her childhood was spent traveling all over the states, never settling in one place too long. She always said when she had her own family she would find a town to call home and raise them in it. And that is what she did. While falling in love with Johnny Brooks, they would call Granite Shoals home where they raised their 2 kids.
Bobbie was a hard worker and spent most of her working career with Highland Publishing, giving them 25 years. In her free time, she enjoyed all kinds of arts and crafts. A woman of many talents, she made lots of things, from jewelry to woodwork. She found a true passion in creating things out of cedar, with her husband. This was very time consuming with a lot of hard work and sweat, but the outcome was always greater than the process.
The most important thing to Bobbie was her family. She loved and cared for them more than words could ever express! They were her pride and joy! Out of all the things she had done and accomplished over the years, her proudest times were being a mother, grandma and grammie!
As her time came shorter, she wanted all that loved her to know she was ready and at peace.
She will be dearly missed but always in our hearts.
