Born on December 27, 1979, in Bakersfield, California, Chris spent his early years in Washington State before returning to Bakersfield at the start of junior high. He graduated from North High School in 1998 and later proudly earned his degree from The University of Alabama in 2024.
Chris built a meaningful and impactful career with the Centre for Neuro Skills, where he served as Director of Admissions. His work was more than a job—it was a calling, and he devoted himself fully to helping others with compassion, strength, and unwavering dedication.
As much as Chris loved his work, his greatest joy was found in the kitchen. A self-taught cook and true master of the grill, he showed his love through food—especially when cooking for the people he cherished. He was stubborn in the best ways, with a heart that was bigger than anything he faced. Loyal, steady, and full of humor, Chris was the one you went to for advice, and you always left feeling supported, heard, and cared for.
Chris was a proud husband, father, stepfather, and “Gramps,” and he treasured every moment with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Kelli Woods; his son Jack Woods; his daughters Seggan (Jason) Sanders, and grandchildren Kingston and Corbett; Felicia (Jeremy) Moore; his parents Russ and Debbie Woods; and his siblings Christina (Ben) Boggess, Alexander (Camille) Woods, Melissa Woods, and Olivia (Justin) Maschhoff and his many nieces and nephews. He is also deeply loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and coworkers.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Jack and Rita Brunstedt and his beloved dog Mando, who surely greeted him with a wagging tail.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 3, from 5–7 p.m. at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 US-281, Marble Falls, Texas.
Funeral services will take place on Thursday, December 4, at 11:00 a.m. at Emmaus Catholic Church, 1718 Lohmans Crossing Road, Lakeway, Texas.
Chris’s legacy of love, strength, humor, and wholehearted generosity will forever remain with those who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
Roll Tide and Amen.
