

Pete was born April 9, 1930, on the Pace Ranch in Coryell County, Texas, which later became Fort Hood Military Base. His Parents were Carlos Coleman Bowen and Nanny Erdice Carroll Bowen.
At age 5, his parents moved to the Mattson Community in Haskell County, Texas. All his schooling was in Haskell. Pete was an outstanding athlete and excelled in football. He was offered a football scholarship with Rice University, however declined. His father died at a young age and he stayed home to help take care of the family farm.
Pete proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and obtained the Expert Rifleman Medal.
Pete married Juanita Gayle Bandy and they had four children. He was honest, hardworking and mechanically could fix anything. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Pete loved his family and God. He was nicknamed Pete at a young age, however his favorite names were; Dad, Daddy, Grandad and Ga-Ga. He made many sacrifices for his family. We are so grateful for the years we had with him. He has always been and continues to be a positive role model for all of us.
He is survived by his children; Kimberly Seibert (Stan Lewis), Ronnie (Karon) Bowen. sister, Billie Jean Knight, brother in law, Jack (Nancy) Bandy, sister in law, Cheryl Bandy. Grandchildren; Nathan, Chad, Lauren, Cooper, Summer, Carson. Great Grandchildren; Damien, Elisa, Branson, Kealee, Chandlor, Allison, Laramie, Brigham. Special friend, Evelyn Cobb and her family, as well as other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, Larry C. Bowen and daughter, Kathy Bunting, brothers, Vernon Bowen and Jack Bowen, sisters in law, June Bowen, Diane Bowen and Bobbye King, brother in law, Don Bandy and son in law Jim Bunting.

Visitation will be held February 26, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Service February 27, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, Marble Falls, TX. Followed by burial at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park, Park Rd 4, Burnet, TX.
