Cynthia Louise Rogers Decker was born to Herman and Ivera Rogers Jan 13th 1950. She was called home on January 19th 2023. Cynthia grew up in Llano Texas and attended Llano ISD she graduated in 1969 and then attended nursing school with her sister Karen Rogers Powell in Austin. Upon graduation they went to work for DPS in Austin. She returned to Llano and went to work for the Llano Memorial Hospital system as a LVN. She married Rod Decker in 1978 and their first son JR Decker was born in January of 1979. In December of 1982 their second son Ross was born. Cynthia then went to work for Hill Country Manor where she would work until retirement in 2012. Cynthia loved her residents and her work but above all else she loved her family.
Cynthia is proceeded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, and 2 brothers. She is survived by her ex husband Rod Decker, Son JR Decker (Emily Flake) Son Ross Decker, Grandson Ethan Decker, Michael Rogers (brother) and wife Charmane of Llano and Scott Rogers (brother) and wife Tong Ye of Kempner, and more nieces and nephews than I can count.
The family would like to thank the staff of Llano Nursing & Rehab for the great care they gave her during her final years, and Cooper’s BBQ for feeding the family during our time of great loss. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to The Boys and Girls Club of Llano. PO Box 902 Llano, Texas. 78643. There are no services planned at this time.
