Donna was born in England on April 23,1954, and moved to Texas at the young age of 8 months with her parents Eileen and Glenn Rucker, shortly after her father had finished his last assignment in the U.S. Air Force. She traveled back to the UK many times in her youth to visit her grandparents, Harry and Vera Blyther.
She was often quoted as saying “I couldn’t get to Texas fast enough!”. Although born across the pond, she was a true Texan and loved everything the state had to offer. She spent much of her life in various parts of Texas: Mineral Wells, Irving, Austin, Tyler, Grand Prairie, and Arlington. In the early 70’s she first started visiting Horseshoe Bay and by the 80’s she’d bring her sons, Shane and Kevin every summer and Christmas to visit with their grandparents, Wayne and Eileen Hurd. Donna worked for the LTV Corporation and Lockheed Martin for 30+ years. Later in her career she returned to school to receive a Masters Degree in Organizational Management from Dallas Baptist University and finished her career with a position in mediation. In 2005 she and her husband, Charlie Sugg, decided to move to Horseshoe Bay to retire and enjoy life in the Hill Country. As an avid horseback rider, she thoroughly enjoyed spending her time riding on the trails, practicing riding techniques, and entering competitions. Anyone that knew Donna knew how much she loved her horses.
Donna was preceded in death by her father Darrell Glenn Rucker, her step-father Wayne Hurd, and former husband Charlie Sugg. Donna is survived by her mother Eileen Hurd, both her sons Shane Crow and Kevin Crow, her granddaughter Sierra Crow, Shane’s fiancé Sarah Nava, former husband Randy Crow, Donna’s step-sister Donna Lynn and her husband James Smith, Ryan and Nicole Feltz and their children Lucy, James, Oliver, and Evelyn Feltz, Michael and Kristin Richards and their children Autumn and Milo Richards, Charlie Sugg’s son Chris Sugg and his wife Laura Sugg, their daughters, Emily and Anna Sugg, Charlie’s daughter Stephanie Manko and her husband Doug Manko, and their sons, JD and Maxwell Manko, Donna’s aunt Susan Blyther, extended family Ann Coates, Paul and Sally Hurd, Jane Hurd, John and Maryellen Richardson, Keith and Sue Dickinson, Paul and Lesley Dickinson, family friends Jon and Angela Harshaw, John Carter, Kelly Dyer, personal friends Honey Hudson, Bebe Rocha, Jereny Johnson, and many others.
