

Gary was born on November 11th, 1955, to John Henry Stegall and Bernice Prunty Stegall
Gary's life came to a close after a prolonged struggle with heart and COPD conditions. Gary's heart, though weakened by illness, remained steadfast in its devotion to the Lord; with unwavering faith, he had given his heart to the Lord. After a valiant fight he enters the eternal realm, where peace and joy forever abide.
Gary is survived by 3 daughters and 1 son, Stefanie Stegall Grier and husband James, Lacy Stegall Myers and husband John Paul, Ashley Stegall Cunningham and husband Jacob, Chayton Gray and wife Peyton, and his wife of 18 years, Barbara Stegall. 3 grandbabies; Zoey LeAnn Gray, Rylan Key, Sawyer Grier, 1 brother; James (Jim) Stegall, nieces and nephews, Tracy Stegall Carola and husband Pete, Robin Stegall, and Trent Stegall. A very beloved niece Jennifer Airheart Radicke who was so very loved and was devoted to his care till the very end. And many grand nieces, nephews and many dear friends and his amazing lake family; Mike & Patty, Paul & Karen, Jake & Sarah that he loved and cherished dearly! Gary was preceded in death by his parents; John Henry Stegall & Bernice Prunty Stegall and son; Chance Stegall.
Gary lived a busy life and a little on the wild side at times. He loved his children and grandchildren with all his heart and cherished all the times he was with them. His life exemplified his adaptability, working primarily as an electrician while exploring or believing he was a master at multiple other professions. His adventurous earlier years transitioned into a profound love for family, music, and friends. Gary's affinity for classic country music, harmonica playing, and spontaneous gatherings inspired those around him. His warm demeanor and generosity earned him a vast network of friends, and his kindness knew no bounds, as he assisted others without hesitation.
A Celebration of Life to honor Gary will be held November 9th 2024, at 1:00 at Gary’s lake residence- 235 Amber Loop, Bluffton Texas.
All Those who loved and cared for Gary and had the privilege of knowing him are asked to join.
A private burial of remains will be at a later day at the Bluffton Cemetery where he will be buried next to his parents.
