Gennaro (better known as G-Man) passed away peacefully at Hospice Austin Christopher House on February 2, 2025. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on April 19, 1952 but was raised in Hazelton, PA. He was educated at the Milton Hershey School in Hersey, PA. At the Hershey School, Gennaro received an exceptional education as well as vocational experience that would service him admirably throughout his life.
He relocated to Dallas while working for Aetna Insurance, but eventually left the insurance business and launched his own company, Dog Gone Good Construction which specialized in flooring, tiling and general home remodeling. He met Casey Tackitt in 1994 and she started working along side Gennaro in his construction business. They married in September, 1995.
Their favorite pastime was being on a lake, whether it be Lake Lavon, Possum Kingdom or Lake Travis. Lake Travis was the favorite so in 2002, they decided to relocate to the Hill Country and start his construction business in Spicewood. He eventually built Dog Gone Good Storage as well for another side business. He was a man thoroughly involved in his work. Gennaro was a warm, humble and respected man by all his customers. They appreciated his quality of work and they usually became good friends after the job was completed. Many memories were created over the years that will be cherished by all who loved him,
He is survived by his wife, Casey, his children Carlie, Rocco, Stone Bonomo and Cara Rawlings, as well as his sister Chrissy Pelot, niece Mary Prada and nephews, Aaron and Ryan Yackanicz.
