Jeffrey Joseph Spearman

Our beloved Jeff ,60, of Horseshoe Bay, Texas passed away on Thursday November 17, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. The always “Awesome”, laughing and quick-witted Jeff will be missed and remain forever in our hearts.

Jeff was born on a U.S. Army base, in Kanagawa Japan to JoEllen (Green) and Larry Spearman. He grew up in Harrison Township, just a little north of Detroit Michigan where he graduated from L’anse Creuse Central High School in 1980 as the class Valedictorian. He then went on to the University of Michigan and graduated in 1984 with a degree in Chemical Engineering.

After an extensive career within the oil and gas industry, Jeff ventured out on his own and started Spearman Energy Consulting LLC in 2016.

Jeff is predeceased by his father Larry Spearman. He is survived by his wife, Kelly Wald of Horseshoe Bay, TX, his mother JoEllen (Green) Gentuso of Estero, FL, his daughter Emily Spearman of Austin, TX, his brother Wayne Spearman of New Carlisle, IN and his sister Lauri (Spearman) McMahon of Ft. Myers, FL. He has many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews that love him dearly.

Jeff had an always positive and always “Awesome” attitude. He was energetic, loving, caring, giving, witty, loyal, comical and thoughtful. He loved his family and friends. He was an avid college football fan and planned around college game days. Go Blue! He was a fan of many sports not just football and he knew which sporting event to watch at any time throughout the year. He enjoyed many gatherings with friends and family and was always the life of the party.

His ultimate joy was water. He loved anything having to do with water, to be in it and finally catching that fish or on it boating the waters of Lake St. Claire and the waters surrounding Ft. Myers.

May you always have your feet in the powder soft white sand and the sunset upon your face. He is loved deeply and will be missed.

A celebration of life memorial will be held at a later date.
