

Karen was a school teacher for 20 years, the founder of TeamKaren Inflamatory Breast Cancer Research Foundation and a Sunday school teacher at Marble Falls First Baptist Church.
As a 12 year cancer survivor, Karen was an inspiration to everyone she met.
She was preceded in her death by her parents and a beautiful granddaughter, Marlea Laymance.
She is survived by her husband, David Cottrell of Horseshoe Bay; her children, Jennifer Laymance and her husband, Kevin, of Chandler, Texas, Kimberly Harris and her husband, Huntleigh, of Spring Branch, Texas and Michael Cottrell and his wife, Kelley, of Austin, Texas; her grandchildren, Noah, Pearce and Asa Laymance and Hunt and Charlotte Harris; her sister, Sandy Pearce of Abilene, Texas and her sisters-in-law, Sherry Barton of Ben Wheeler, Texas and Evelyn Addis of Canton, Texas.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock until seven o’clock in the evening, on Wednesday, the 5th of December 2012, at the Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 Highway 281 North, Marble Falls, Texas.
A service celebrating her life will be held at two o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, the 6th of December 2012, at Marble Falls First Baptist Church, 501 12th Street, Marble Falls, Texas.
