Luther Gilbert Knebel

Services for Luther Gilbert Knebel, 83, of Llano will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Marble Falls with the Reverend Danielle Casey and Reverend Harold Vanicek officiating. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas. Luther was born on October 20, 1931 in Beaumont, Texas to Herbert and Hertha Pfluger Knebel and passed from this life on November 20, 2014 in Llano, Texas. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Helen Marie Nelson.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Ann Knebel and sons, Mark Knebel and wife Cathy of Tomball, Texas; Craig Knebel and wife Karyn of Seattle, WA; Kurt Knebel and wife Carlene of Frisco, Texas. He is also survived by his sister, Melrose Zimmermann; brothers, George Knebel and Ralph Knebel; and his grandchildren, Gus, Erin, Lauren, Christian, Avida and Evan Knebel.

Family will welcome friends at the funeral home on Monday, November 24, 20l4 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM for a time of visiting and sharing.

Those who wish to contribute a memorial in Luther’s name may do so to the Pfennig-Knebel Educational Scholarship at Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, Texas or to St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Marble Falls, Texas.
