In 1952, Mary wed her husband of 68 years, Howard Hilton. She retired from working 42 years as a Registered Nurse, to Lake LBJ. Mary lived a fulfilling life as a talented porcelain/china painter, devoted wife, loving mother, and doting Grannie and Great-Grannie. She was also an avid gardener and loved singing Hymns as she worked in her rose and vegetable gardens.
Mary is survived by her daughter Vicki Hilton, son John Hilton (Valerie), granddaughter Taryn Sullens (Kevin), grandson Christopher Hilton, granddaughter Shelby Watson (Alex), and great-granddaughter Rayna Sullens.
The Hilton family would like to express their deep gratitude to the entire staff of Arbor House Marble Falls for the loving care Mary received as a resident there, in her final years.
Mary will be inurned at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls. Interment of ashes for both Mary and her husband Howard will take place at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating, in Mary Hilton’s name, to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, an organization she supported that will remain close to her family’s hearts.
“She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness. She carefully watches everything in her household and suffers nothing from laziness. Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her: “There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!”” Proverbs 31:25-29
