Patti was born to Vaughn and Dora (Lavon ) Barnes in Batesville, Arkansas. The family later moved to the Houston area, where much of her family still lives. Patti attended Houston Community College where she obtained an associate’s degree in criminal justice. Patti married the love of her life, Burl Harper, on June 3, 1999, and moved to Marble Falls. Patti loved cooking but loved her family most of all. She had an infectious smile and a love for all things beautiful. She never went anywhere without her hair and makeup done and jewelry on. In fact, she would take so long to get ready we would tell her an arrival time hours before, just because we knew she would be late. Patti was no stranger to pain and over the last few years lived a life that most of us would have never imagined, but with her husband at her side, she was ready to make the best of it. She will truly be missed.
Patti is survived by her husband of 25 years Burl Harper of Marble Falls, TX. Stepdaughters: Jennifer (Elmer) Boutin of Michigan, Melinda (Stephen) Lewis of Texas, Melisa (Joseph) Zaversnik of Texas, Granddaughters: Kaylee Wessels and Harper Renfro Lewis, Grand dogs: Eli and Ezra Zaversnik, Brothers: Jack (Jeannie) Barnes of Texas, Greg (Emiley) Barnes of TX, Sister: Carmen Barnes of TX, and many other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, precious niece Katie, and her fur babies Clide and George.

Visitation for Patti will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, followed by her Funeral service at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park, Burnet, Texas.
