Sara had a love for travel and was involved in many philanthropic endeavors in Dallas, Houston, Salt Lake City and Oklahoma City. Her love for reading motivated her to achieve a Librarian Degree later in life. She was also passionate about painting and found much joy in her works. Somewhat surprising to her friends and family, she obtained her Hot Air Balloon Pilot’s license in the mid 80’s in Salt Lake City.
Sara will be missed by her loving family and devoted friends. Left to cherish her memory are husband W. Merwyn Pittman, daughter Jane Spangler of Georgetown, daughter Julie Kohlbacher and son-in-law Greg of Tulsa, daughter Emily Dillinger and son-in-law Steve of Spicewood, as well as eight grandchildren Amy Redus and husband Brady, Zach Kohlbacher and wife Jen, Isaac Kohlbacher and wife Tara, Tyler Moore and wife Cindy, Kyle Spangler and fiancée Lana, Katie Spangler and fiancée Josh, Landree Dillinger and fiancée Patrick and Cal Spangler along with eleven great grandchildren Kai, Jaden, Alyssa, Anna Grace, Jace, Zane, Selah, Sally, Barrett, Landon and Austin.
Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday July 30th, 2021, at the First Baptist Church of Richardson,1001 N. Central Expressway, Richardson, Texas 75080.
The family would like to greet you following the service in the Reception Hall.
