Travis graduated from Austin High School and Durham Business College. He married Audry Bowen on November 7, 1954. He worked in the Lumber business ending at Stripling Blake after 28 years. He was a member of the South Austin Optimist. Travis was an avid sports enthusiast. He enjoyed baseball, golf, and bowling, but his passion was encouraging and coaching youth.
Travis is survived by his wife, Audry; son, Travis W. Smith; daughter, Sandra Gay White and son, Richard L. Smith, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
There will be a service on Tuesday, January 20th at 2:30 PM at Granite Mesa Health Center, 1400 Max Copeland Dr., Marble Falls, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the charity of your choice.
