Alane was born May 27, 1963 in Abington, PA to Thomas Astley Cooper and Anita June (Danenberger) Cooper. She met her best friend and the love of her life, Stephen Augustine Inacker, as a sophomore at Lower Moreland High School. She graduated from Lower Moreland in 1981 and advanced to Albright College, where she majored in dietetics and graduated in 1985. She and Steve remained together through high school and college and were married in 1985 after her graduation. They had two children, Stephen Augustine Inacker Jr. and Samantha Ashley (Inacker) Mackenzie. Alane fiercely loved her family and was their foundation and North Star as they moved from Stanhope, NJ to Ada, MI to Rochester Hills, MI to Clarence, NY to Lake Forest, IL, and finally beautiful Marco Island, FL. Alane made every home a wonderful mix of beauty, comfort, and fun for her family. Planting the perfect flowers to draw butterflies and connecting palm trees with a zipline for her grandchildren (they love their “Lolli”) are two examples of many. She showed her empathy and love for others through action. Many have stories of Alane showing up at exactly the right time and discreetly providing exactly what was needed. She will remain an inspiration to her friends and family for her strength of spirit, love, and virtue.
Alane is survived by her husband, Stephen Augustine Inacker; her son Stephen Augustine Inacker Jr.; her daughter Samantha Ashley Mackenzie and husband Douglas and granddaughters Eliza and Adeline; her parents Thomas Astley Cooper Jr. and Anita June (Danenberger) Cooper; her siblings Aleta Jean Bossert, Anita June Barbato, Allison Jayne Cardona, Anne Judith Fleming and Thomas Astley Cooper III.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Alane to the Neuro-Oncology Department of the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. You can do this at philanthropy.mayoclinic.org.
