Barbara Ann Prigge

Barbara Ann Prigge (Neuhaus) passed away peacefully surrounded by family February 10, 2022. She was born May 30, 1943 in Trenton, NJ to Gudrun and Alois Neuhaus. She moved to Neptune, NJ where she attended Manasquan High School, meeting the love of her life Louis W. Prigge. She has been married to her high school sweetheart for 62 years. They moved to Wall, NJ where they raised their family.

She owned and operated Crystal Flowers and Gifts where she was a passionate and creative floral designer, before moving on and excelling as an Avon Products sales woman, winning many awards.

They purchased their first vacation home on Marco Island in 1987. In 1997, they purchased their second home, retired and relocated to Marco Island.

She is known throughout the island for her caring and loving personality, creativeness, hard work, and volunteering. She is a member of the San Marco Catholic Church. She founded the San Marco Columbiettes and became their first President. She belonged to and participated in many organizations including:

Kiwanis,

CERTS, and

Christmas Island Style.

Barbara was an avid fundraiser for many groups throughout the island. She was honored for years, decorating their home for many holidays including Christmas, where she won Christmas Island Style in 2001 and 2013.

Residents of Marco Island have often seen her riding her tractor mowing lots for the last 17 years for their business Island Boy Lawn and Lot.

Her greatest joy was her family, husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Barbara is predeceased by her parents; Gudrun and Alois Neuhaus; her daughter Tracy Ann; her brother Alois Neuhaus and her sister Theresa Hegal.

She is survived by her husband, Louis W Prigge, daughter Crystal Foster (Stephen), son Will Prigge (Marilyn), sister Joan Tracy (Bob).

Grandchildren: Stephen Foster (Danielle), Christopher Foster (Christine), Theresa Foster, Caitlyn Lima (Chris), Alexandra Iannotta (Sal), Hayden Hanscom, Lauren Hanscom.

Great Grandchildren: Charlotte, Aidan, Celina, Everleigh, Logan, Sophie, Giulianna (GG).

Many cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends.
