Gary Eichler, son of Natalie and the late, John Lee Eichler, exchanged this life for one without pain and suffering in the early hours of Feb 27, 2019, while at home with his soul mate, Ellen, in Naples, Florida.
Gary was born on Oct 2, 1955. He grew up in Sayreville, NJ, graduating Sayreville Memorial High School followed by Rutgers University. With a BS in Landscape Design, he worked at Lipinski Landscape & Design, NJ and Pillari Landscaping, NJ; before starting his dream business, Double R’s Fishing and Tour Co. in memory of his late son, Garry.
He leaves his legacy in the hearts of his wife of thirteen years, Ellen; his mother, Natalie; his sister, Debbie, brother in law, Tom; his daughter, Malori; his son, John Lee; grandchildren, Jaylee Grace Eichler and Madeline Jean Eichler; niece Emily Cascio, her husband Anthony, great niece, Ava MacKenzie Cascio; as well as numerous extended family and many dear friends.
Gary will be remembered for his strength and love for family, his easy way of making friends through laughter and shared times, his gentle appreciation for the beauty of nature, his deep love of fishing, the sea and the sunshine. His favorite place to be was by Ellen’s side, perhaps with a dish of Haagan Dazs Belgium chocolate ice cream. He’ll be waiting for her in the greatest garden of all.
A memorial service in Gary’s honor will be held on May 5, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Angler's Cove Restaurant located within the Port of the Islands Resort.
