Jesus G. Garcia

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Jesus Garcia, a man of integrity and profound love for his family. Born and raised in Galicia, Spain, he was a true Spaniard who cherished the ocean and traveling. In the 1950s, he left Spain for Cuba with a sense of adventure. He emigrated to New York in 1968 finding the freedom he cherished as a lifelong knitting mill engineer and owner of Saturn Knits Inc. in Jersey City, NJ. He retired in 2000 to Marco Island, which was his dream since 1979 and vacationing there many times with his family. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, and three grandchildren. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in peace.

A Visitation will take place at Hodges-Josberger Funeral Home, 577 E. Elkcam Circle, Marco Island, FL on Thursday, April 11 from 2:00 - 5:00 pm. Funeral Service at Marco Island Historical Church, 489 W Elkcam Circle, Marco Island, FL at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 12. Burial in Marco Island Cemetery to follow immediately.

Con profunda tristeza, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Jesús García, un hombre de integridad y profundo amor por su familia. Nacido y criado en Galicia, España, fue un verdadero Español que apreciaba el mar y viajar. En la década de 1950, dejó España por Cuba con un sentido de aventura. Emigró a Nueva York en 1968, encontrando la libertad que tanto apreciaba como ingeniero de tejidos durante toda su vida y propietario de Saturn Knits Inc. en Jersey City, NJ. Se retiró en 2000 a Marco Island, su sueño desde 1979 y habiendo vacacionado allí muchas veces con su familia. Le sobreviven su esposa, dos hijas y tres nietos. Su espíritu vivirá en los corazones de quienes lo amaron. Que descanse en paz.
