We cannot begin to explain how much Keith will be missed. Known as “puddin’ pie” to his dad, Keith would call his mom daily simply to say, “I love you.” His best friends were his siblings, Billy, Amanda and George. Keith's family loved him dearly.
Everybody who knew Keith will miss him. He was kind, loving, thoughtful, generous, and hardworking. Keith was also full of life and had a huge, ever-present smile. Even if you had not seen him in years, Keith would greet you with a hug and a smile; he took joy in his family and friends, and always made you feel like you were the most important person in the world to him.
Keith was born and raised on Marco Island. He attended Tommie Barfield Elementary School, Manatee Middle School, and Lely High School before heading to college. Keith went on to have a successful career with MetLife. He enjoyed boating, swimming, traveling, meeting new people, and celebrating family events.
Keith came from a large and loving family. He was closest to his parents, Bill and Lynn Wilkie, and his three siblings. Keith was also beloved to his maternal grandparents, Don and Mary Ross, numerous aunts and uncles, and over 20 cousins and second cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Fritzie Wilkie.
We were so proud of Keith and the man he became. He represented the best in us, and we will forever miss him. Please pray for Keith, as we do, and remember the joy he brought to so many people's lives.
A visitation to honor Keith will take place Thursday January 21, 2015 between the hours of 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm. Keith's Funeral Mass will be held At San Marco Catholic Church of Friday January 22, 2015 at 11:00 am.
