Matthew John Dillon

Matthew is survived by his loving and loyal wife of 49 years, Delia Dillon and has left in his wake, a legacy of 4 children: Son Brendan Dillon(Wife Rosie), daughter Caroline Triest, son Jack Dillon, and daughter Shannon Dillon. He also leaves behind 5 grandchildren: Sienna, Sophia, Freddy, Evie and Annaleigh. He joins in the heavens his father John F. Dillon and grandchild Juniper Dillon.

Matt was a man of many passions and pursuits, a navy veteran, a music lover, an entrepreneur, a husband, brother, father, and friend. To sum up his life here, couldn’t capture the immense amount of adventure and fun he had with his time here on earth. He loved fishing, singing, skiing, cooking, scuba diving, painting, playing the harmonica, and if there was something you were into too, he would make it a point to listen and do follow up research just to build connection. This is the man we remember, a community builder, charity worker, a shipping magnate, all the while carrying himself with enough charisma to have its own gravitational pull. We’d often find him in colorful t-shirts, ready to crack jokes and make anyone in his presence laugh, because he loved to see people smile. He always wanted to help, comfort, and provide joy and memories for his community.

As he was happiest being on the water, we imagine him now sailing amongst the heavens, watching every sunset and sunrise meet the horizon. His memory will carry on in our hearts and within our spirits, one in heart, never apart.

Matthew’s Funeral Mass will be held on June 5th, 2026, 11:00 am at
