Duane was born on October 15, 1964 to Catherine Wiley and Merle Meeker in Missouri Valley, Iowa. He was the second youngest amongst his four siblings which include Charla Lancaster, Kevin Meeker, and Tonja Maxwell. Duane was a proud veteran of the U.S. military. He also took a lot of pride in his former nursing career.
Duane is survived by his three children Joshua Meeker, Stacey Meeker, and Nichole Meeker as well as his 6 grandchildren Lola Josjor, Elizabeth Meeker, Ariya Parker, Thomas Meeker, Lucas Meeker, and Dominic Standridge.
He is preceded in death by his parents Catherine Wiley and Merle Meeker.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Omaha, Nebraska.
Duane had a passion for helping anyone that he could. He loved the color purple, and dolphins were his favorite. He also loved the ocean and the mountains. He will be deeply missed by so many and will always hold a place in our hearts.
