Phyllis Adele Forte

Phyllis was born 09/07/1937 to Floyd and Louise Dishaw in Kingsford, Michigan. After Phyllis graduated high school and attended Beauty School, she married Richard (Dick ) Forte. They celebrated 65 yrs married this past May. Phyllis and Dick traveled the world together and had amazing adventures in California, Japan and Berlin where they made many lifelong friends. They settled in Willingboro, NJ and raised their four boys. They retired to Naples, Florida where they spent the last 35 years.

Phyllis was very active in many charities and church. She spent many years volunteering at St Vincent Depaul Thrift store in Naples along with many years of dedicated service to the Corpus Christi School & Church (NJ) and St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church (Naples). She was also active in the Pilots Wives Club, The Sea Stars and the Naples Cruise Club. Phyllis enjoyed crocheting and knitting and many people to this day enjoy the blankets she made. Phyllis always made a point to attend her High School reunions each year and kept in touch with friends.

Phyllis is survived by her husband Richard, her sons Richard Jr. (Stephanie), Christopher, David (Christine) and Daniel (Chris), her Grandchildren, Richard III (Melissa), Kathleen (Nathan) and Samantha, her sister Karen (Ron) LaLonde and brother Thomas (Doris) Dishaw along with many nieces and nephews. She also has been blessed to welcome her first Great Grandchild, Richard IV this past year.

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date at the convenience of the family. Donations in Phyllis' name will be accepted for Avow Hospice at Donate to Avow Donation Page.
