Born on October 11, 1939, in Queens, New York, Bob was the son of Robert Gill, Sr. and Armorel Lounsbury. Throughout his life, he remained deeply connected to his roots while forging a path uniquely his own.
Bob was a man of quiet strength and deep devotion. Though private by nature, his love for his wife Barbara was unwavering and evident to all who knew them. Their bond was the cornerstone of his life and brought him enduring companionship and joy.
He found great pleasure in the simple yet meaningful pursuits that brought him closer to nature and those he cared about. Fishing was one of Bob’s life-long pastimes – especially when shared with friends. Whether casting a line from a pier or heading out on the water at dawn, these moments were among his most cherished by Bob and those who joined him.
A masterful woodworker, Bob also had an eye for detail and steady hand that transformed raw lumber into beautiful creations. His craftmanship produced stunning works that now adorn the homes of family and friends – a lasting testament to both his skill and generosity.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife Barbara; his brother, 2 nieces, 2 nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will remember him with affection, appreciation, respect and admiration. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Sr. and Armorel.
May Bob’s memory bring joy and comfort to those who knew him and serve as a reminder of a life lived with quiet dignity and heartfelt devotion.
