Robert "Bob" Paul Stanojev

Robert “Bob” Paul Stanojev, 81, of Marco Island, FL passed away peacefully in his home, on June 26, 2023. Bob was born on July 20, 1941 in Philadelphia, PA to Anna and Alexander Stanojev. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN, where he met and married the love of his life, Judith Voors.

Bob and Judy raised their 6 children in Barrington, IL. Bob worked most of his career as a management consultant, and retired as a partner at Ernst & Young in Chicago. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, as well as an amazing brother, and friend to many. His family loved hearing him play the piano, especially as they decorated the family Christmas tree together. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed spending his time on the golf course with his buddies, grandson, and son-in-laws. He was a longtime member of the Barrington Hills Country Club in Barrington, IL, and the Island Country Club in Marco Island, FL.

Bob lived his life with great faith, a deep love for his family, and a great appreciation for his many close friends. He is survived by his 6 children; Gina Wolowicz (Ken), Lisa Paiser (Mark), Laura Dunne (Tom), Todd Stanojev (Christina), Emily Edmonds (Bryan), and Grant Stanojev (Michele), as well as 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Other close family included his sister Carol Kirwan (Roger), brother Richy Stanojev (Jen), and many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Judith Stanojev (Voors), and his parents, Anna and Alexander Stanojev.

Bob’s funeral mass will be held Saturday August 5, 2023 at 10:30 AM, at San Marco Catholic Church, Marco Island, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude; AVOW in Naples, FL (AVOWcares.org); Our Daily Bread Food Pantry in Marco Island, FL; and The Bargain Basket in Marco Island, FL.
