Rodger was born April 30th, 1936 in Joliet, Illinois to Lyle Sr. and Mary (Moroski) McGinn. A Proud Veteran of the Army of the United States as a Paratrooper from 1954-1956.
He built a successful driving school business in the Chicagoland area before retiring to Lake Carroll, IL in 1997. There he enjoyed spending time with his family, boating, golfing, hunting and gardening.
Rodger loved horseshoes, darts and playing euchre. He was good at everything he did and was very competitive. Most importantly, he absolutely loved family get togethers.
In 2000, Rodger and Judy moved to Marco Island, FL. They enjoyed many years of boating, fishing and traveling with dear friends for over twenty years.
Rodger is survived by his beloved wife, Judy (Weaver) of 33 years, five children, Mike (Lynne), Kate (David), Chris (Marilyn), Jeff (Robin) and Kelly (Jon). His dear sister, Dolly (Kim) and an abundance of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lyle Sr. and Mary (Moroski) McGinn, two brothers, Lyle Jr. and Jack, and his beloved son, Sean Daniel.
A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
