Walter Mikus, 79, of Grayslake and Marco Island, FL passed away on Tuesday December 10, 2013 in Marco Island, Florida.
He was born October 16, 1934 to Joseph and Emelia Mikus.
Walter retired from Allstate Insurance Company after 35-years of dedication. He enjoyed cycling and could often be seen on his bike on Marco Island.
Walter is survived by his wife, Tina (nee Vandenbraak,) loving children, Kimberly Ann (Kevin) Croke of Lake Zurich, Emily Tina (Matthew) Pecora of Wadsworth and Melissa (Ryan) Tendick of Gurnee; grandchildren, Brian and Megan Croke, Angela and Joseph Pecora and Annika Tendick. He was the dear brother of Mary (Morris) Perreault, Nancy Bacik and Linda (Louis) Ferreira.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Margaret Tanguay and brother-in-laws, Andy Tanguay and John Bacik.
Mass will be held Monday, Dec. 23, at 11 a.m. at San Marco Church in Marco Island, FL.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
Arrangements are being handled by Hodges-Josberger Funeral Home in Marco Island, Florida.
