Wayne Harold Shattuck

Wayne proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Cold War, with assignments that included Lackland Air Force Base, Barksdale Air Force Base and Newfoundland. Following his military service, he built a long career with Xerox Corporation, where he worked for 35 years. He was respected for his dedication, dependability, and strong work ethic.

Wayne loved boating and fishing and found some of his greatest peace and happiness on the water. He appreciated life’s simple pleasures and the quiet moments spent doing what he loved most. Above all, he loved his family. Those who knew him will remember his steady presence, his strength, and the care he showed to the people closest to him.

Wayne is survived by his beloved wife, Gertie (Gertrude); his children, John Shattuck (Connie), Darlene Shattuck Roddy, and Kevin Shattuck; and his cherished grandchildren, Zachary and Tyler Roddy, and Stephanie Shattuck.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Persiak; his father, Jack Shattuck; and his grandparents, Jens C. Jensen and Sarah Nielsen Jensen.

Wayne will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. His memory will remain in the hearts of his family and friends always.
