Barbara Anne Goldberg, 84, passed away on July 31 in Atlanta. A kindergarten teacher for many years, Barbara continued her passion for children as a youth leader at Gordon Street Presbyterian Church in Atlanta. In addition to helping the young generation, Barbara enjoyed traveling and will always be remembered as a gracious southern woman who was always there for her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Goldberg is survived by her husband of 64 years, Don, and two daughters, Sherry Sherwood (Cheryl Appleberry), Debbie Jenkins (Jack), along with 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and two on the way. Barbara will be missed by several nieces and nephews as well.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, make donations to Oakgrove United Methodist Church School in Liberia.
