

Barry, an army brat, was born February 22, 1959, in Fort Riley, KS, son of Lt. Col. Clifford C. Suttle and Willetta Lambert Suttle.
A graduate of Wheeler High School, in Marietta, where he was an allstate running back, he continued his education at the University of Georgia, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education.
Upon graduation, much of his professional career was spent working at his family owned Servpro of East Cobb and Marietta West, where his sister, Pam Suttle Dougherty, mother and father ran a successful business for 31 years.
Not long after selling the business, Barry pursued his passion for education and earned a Master’s Degree in English from Kennesaw State University in the summer of 2016. All the while, living out his love for baseball, by means of umpiring and coaching.
He enjoyed walking the trails of Kennesaw Mountain, reading books with limited pictures, and golfing and tennis each week, most notably putting and serving left handed.
Barry is survived by his mother, Willetta. His sister, Pam, and husband Craig Dougherty, of Acworth; his son, Eric T. Suttle and wife Lauren, of Marietta; his daughter, Stephanie Henderson, and husband Jarrod, of Ashland, Alabama and grandchild, Cody Parker Suttle.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 17 from 5 pm until 8 pm at H.M. Patterson and Son Canton Hill Chapel, Marietta. A Celebration of Barry’s Life will be Tuesday, April 18 from 11 am until 12:30 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.
