Betty B. Pendley

Betty Byers Pendley was born on in Marietta, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her mother Stella Davis Byers Moon and father Joe James Byers. Betty went home to be with the Lord on March 10, 2015.

Betty was a native of Marietta, Georgia and lived her entire life in Cobb County. She attended Blackwell School and graduated from Sprayberry High in 1955. Betty was employed for many years by Coca Cola, and after retiring from Coca Cola, she worked for Komoto.

One of Betty’s life long passions was painting. She especially enjoyed landscape painting and painting pictures of her two sons’ show cars. Growing up, her two boys (as she called them) always enjoyed having her around, even as teenagers, and she delighted in being with them. Cooking was also a hobby of hers.

Betty was a devoted mother and a devoted Christian. She was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church in Marietta.

Betty leaves to cherish her memory two loving sons, Billy Pendley and Michael Pendley; two grandsons, Justin Pendley and Mitchell Pendley; her beloved sister, Edna Byers; devoted friend, John Ledford; loving cousins and friends; and her loving dog, Barney.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday March 14, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday March 13, 2015, from 4-8:00 pm. Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2000 Cobb Parkway SE, Marietta, GA 30060, is in charge of arrangements
