Casey Michael Burke

While moving to Marietta, GA in 1998 meant leaving big city and hotel life, it brought new adventures; a house, a neighborhood, our dog Bo-Bo and the beginning of lasting friendships.

Casey loved to compete and played all sports but his passion was basketball. He loved to play or watch whether collegiate or pro, especially the Atlanta Hawks and Georgia Tech. He played for Whitefield Academy in both middle and high school. Apart from sports, Casey had a great appreciation for good TV especially the Sopranos and the Wire.

Casey graduated with honors from the University of South Carolina business school with a B.S. in Marketing and Economics. In the past few years of his business career, he had found his passion in sales and consulting, which surprised none of his family or friends who have always known him to be persuasive, charming, funny, and creative. With the guidance of a great mentor, Casey was able to be part of a startup in the spring of 2016 which was already experiencing great success and promise.

Casey is survived by his parents: Paul and Lindsey Burke and sister Molly Burke. He was the oldest of 12 cousins, incredibly loved by his 13 aunts and uncles and grandmother, Peggy Burke, whom he saw often even though living far from their homes in NY, Boston and Houston. Casey was a loyal friend who loved a good laugh - a prankster at heart. He was a great and loving son, brother, cousin, grandson and friend.

Taken way too soon, Casey passed away on February 1, 2017 in Boynton Beach, Florida. Casey, as much as you were loved, you will be missed. You have left this deep hole in our hearts that we will, every day, try and fill with the wonderful memories and good times you have given us over your 27 years.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 5pm until 8pm at H.M. Patterson and Son Canton Hill Chapel, 1157 Old Canton Road, Marietta. A Funeral Service will be held at 12pm on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3401 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta. A reception will immediately follow the funeral service at Indian Hills Country Club, 4001 Clubland Drive, Marietta.
