Cecil Harold Duvall passed away peacefully at home on Friday March 20th with his wife of 22 years, Jo-Ann at his side. Cecil was the youngest of four children born to Lois (Harwood) and Lehman Lake Duvall. His older siblings are Ann Duvall Colclough, Lehman Lamar (Bobby) Duvall, and Edward Duvall.
Cecil grew up in Greene County, Georgia and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Georgia Southern University. During a distinguished career in information technology, Cecil served at the University of Georgia, Georgia State University, and the Georgia Institute of Technology. He retired in 2005 as the Director of Human Resources Information Systems at Georgia Tech.
In retirement Cecil enjoyed photography, years of traveling, hiking in U.S. National Parks with Jo-Ann, and spending time with grandchildren.
Cecil is survived by his wife Jo-Ann, sister Ann, brother Edward Duvall, daughters Cecilia and Julie, ?ve grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, and his brother Bobby.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:30pm on Saturday April 25 at New Hope Baptist Church in Greshamville, Georgia followed by a repast in the Fellowship Hall.
